What Helps?

Sharing is Loving

What helps you stay healthy? Knowing this will help. Seasons change, and so do your needs. Some people have heightened sensitivities in Winter, Summer, Autumn or Spring. If you haven’t already noticed, when you are most vulnerable, Chinese Medicine says look at your skin tone.

Are you very pale, white, yellow or brown, or perhaps olive or deep brown? And what is your undertone? Is it Pink, red or bluish hues? Or is it yellow? peachy, golden, perhaps a combination? And what does this say about your health and well-being?

How Chinese Element Theory Links Skin Tone to Seasonal Health

The Chinese element theory ascribes certain colors to the seasons. You are probably more vulnerable in the season to which they ascribe your skin tone. So, if you have a pale white skin, Autumn is quite possibly your vulnerable season for colds, flu etc. After all Chinese Medicine is over 5,000 years old, so maybe it is not a theory but actually true. Let me know what your experience is. I would like know.

Which Season Is Your Most Vulnerable?

Winter in Chinese Medicine is ascribed to indigo, dark blue and black. Many people have kidney or nervous system issues if these colors are in their skin tones or undertones. Or you may simply be allergic to the cold! Temperature is another factor in Chinese Medicine.

Spring is often ascribed to green or olive. Issues may revolve around liver and gallbladder. I have to say, as I have olive skin, that even if liver and gallbladder are not involved, Spring can be challenging for me. It is the season in which I have had the most health issues, if I am going to have one.

The summer season is ascribed to the red tones. Heart, potential hormonal (think prostate and hot flashes) and small intestine/digestive issues may pop up then.

Yellow and brown are associated with late summer, where stomach, spleen and pancreas issues may arise. Think diabetes….errg!

Energy Medicine Approaches Support Seasonal Well-Being

You are not condemned to have any issues, especially if you take care during the season color ascribed to your skin tone. Energy Medicine can support your seasonal well-being — and working with an energy healer is a natural next step.

Vibrational Acupuncture: without Needles

Chinese Acupuncture is the most researched of energy medicine. Body Being & Heart integrates Vibrational Acupuncture or what I am beginning to call Energy Acupuncture because no needles are used to stimulate acupuncture points.

Instead, I use Reiki, the CranioSacral Rhythm, the spin of the Nadii as well as information gained by questioning your body and Inner physician. Is this too complicated? Don’t worry about it. This comes automatically in any session in Body Being & Heart. Sessions are available in-person and online, so distance is never a barrier to receiving this care.

Who Seeks Energy Medicine and Why

People who are drawn to energy as medicine are often dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic pain, fatigue, cancer-related symptoms, or recovery after surgery. It’s also commonly sought by people who feel “out of balance” and want support for overall well-being alongside standard care.

However, my experience also tells me that some people use energy medicine instead of standard medical care, as well as using it for resolving emotional trauma, injury and age related issues like macula degeneration. I always say use what is appropriate. Each situation is different.

Why Natural Therapies Offer Real Healing

Whenever possible move toward more natural body centered therapies because these offer real healing, supporting your body to rebalance. Natural therapies do not have side effects unlike drugs. But natural therapies may trigger briefly an intensification of symptoms or even a healing crisis before resolving into total health. If you’re curious about what this process looks and feels like, explore the deeper dimension of real healing.

Reiki is one of the most accessible of these natural body centered therapies, working gently with your body’s own energy to restore balance. And it is also the simplest and easiest to learn for self-care.

This is how I got interested in CranioSacral Therapy. My first session was magical. My spine lit up like a Christmas tree. The next day, I could barely walk. I knew this was a powerful approach by my reaction. It was part of my journey to resolving an incurable disease.
