self-Love

Sharing is Loving

Self-Love, do you have any? And no, this is not narcissism. It is all about compassion towards you…it is about including you in the equation.

Issue

Hi, I am Kyra Lober and one of my specialties as a therapist is seeing women who are stressed in life changing and challenging situations who have physical symptoms.

Many of the stresses I experience in women are at the core about a lack of self-love and not valuing one’s self or even worse blaming your self.

Woman in You

Women often disregard their own needs as mothers/caregivers to the extent that they burn out. And sometimes it is too late to back up. The burn out turns up as illness. Please do not be that woman.

Another dilemma is the woman who stays in abusive relationships or marriages in which they do not have an equal say. The benefits maybe high but the long term result is often illness. Yet, I have seen many women choose this. They choose to stay but want to feel better. This is a hamster wheel for disaster.

Something has to change, perspective, location, relationship or job. Of course, everyone has their own time line. And you do have to make peace with your own self to begin to make a life altering shift.

Make peace with yourself by choosing self-love. Recognize the love you feel for others is your love. You are Love.

Plus Side

You have the capacity to listen to your body. But in a ‘man’s world,’ you, the woman in you may often try harder, go faster and stress more. Sorry to say even today it seems to still be a man’s world.

I was brought up in New York City. Being young and beautiful, getting lots of attention, I thought women and men were equal. I moved to Canada, just a little older and realized woman were indeed second class…unequal pay, unequal opportunity, unequal say in relationships.

What to Do

It is simple., choose you. Make baby steps towards being compassionate towards you. Make it a habit to look in the mirror and say “I Love You!”

It is all about recognizing the half truths aka lies you tell yourself. Sometimes it is about being a stuck in a pattern of looking for approval from others. These core distortions spiral into an unending betrayal of your essential self.

Yet I have Seen…

I have seen women be brave, courageous, take back their power…start new career journeys, leave relationships, nurture themselves and be happier…slowly, step by step over time these women recognize who they truly are…and unfold their true potential.

Remember

Please remember everyone is insecure at times, everyone feels alone instead of All One. Everyone takes themselves away…and feels unappreciated or unloved sometimes. Bring yourself back to the here and NOW. Be Present, Be Presence. You are ‘THAT.’

And If…

And if you need a little support, you know how to reach me for a course or a Session. Body Being & Heart, Healing for Body and Spirit rebalances your physical symptoms and helps you rediscover your essential Self. There is even a little course, Wise Woman Stress Mastery, you can do it all on your own…though you can always email questions to me!

Sending Love, Kyra

P.S. The major grand dames and women teachers in my life have been supported by the men in their lives. Bonnie Cohen, founder of Body Mind Centering…her husband left his chiropractic career to support her work…in fact her work became a family business. Mamata Yogi-Nakra, founder of Kala Bharati, India Dance Cultural Foundation, her husband wrote books on children and dance. His writings gave scientific data on the importance of dance while she created choreography which revolutionized dance in India and popularized India Dance in the West.

So, maybe there is a way our world can become a W & M world!
