Not Your Fault

Sharing is Loving

It is not your fault you are stressed. There are subtle causes of stress and often it is not about you. Who knew? You may have inherited your stress patterns from your parents or going back even further to your ancestors. Who knew? It is all epigenetics. And of course, this includes your DNA and even illnesses and conditions you may have inherited.

Stress may even come from your past lives, other universes and beyond. You definitely need an energetic healer for the last ones. But chances are if you take care of the obvious like eat right, exercise, dance, pray and love or get support for your process, you will heal.

The Not Your Fault Process

Let’s look at when stress is not yours and how to release it.

  • Find a comfortable place to lie down.
  • Relax your body
  • Breathe
  • Allow your breathing to deepen
  • Scan your body to find where you are holding your stress
  • Ask your body if this is your stress or someone else’s!
  • If the answer is ‘The stress is someone else’s, ask who?
  • It may be obvious it is your mother’s or father’s if not who?
  • Imagine a cord plugged into you and to whomever has been the ‘Stress Provoker’!
  • What color is the cord?
  • See the cord connected to you and to the other person.
  • Simply unplug the cord!
  • How do you feel NOW?

You may need to repeat this process from time to time. Discovering what or who stresses you is a process but essential to the question ‘Who am I.’ This is the journey to finding out who you truly are and a necessary part of spiritual unfoldment.

Do remember primary relationships are your primary templates in the life you are living now. If you do the above exercise, it alleviates entangled and co-dependent relating. It means, you get to be you. The other gets to be themselves. You will have better boundaries. And you both will have a healthier relationship with your own selves and each other.

Keep in Mind

You are not at fault but you still need to do something about your stress. Lao Tzu, an ancient Chinese philosopher and the founder of Taoism, once said: “If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present.”

Let go of the past and other people’s anxiety stress patterns. Let me know how you do. And don’t forget Body Being & Heart has Retreats that will get you into the present moment where all transformation happens!
