How Do You Heal?

Sharing is Loving

How do You heal? What is your process? I would really like to know. And I am happy to share what I find helps. My Gift to you is the Alchemy of Healing…and what I have written below. Enjoy!

What to Do!

What to do? It all depends on what you are trying to fix or heal. If it something physical like an injury. I slow down and listen to what my body needs. Slowing down is usually part of that process. I slow down to assess what is happening and then explore what might make the injury, feel better.

And yes, even with an injury there are emotional considerations to consider aka feel about what has happened and how it affects you.

Acute injuries may indicate a need for rest and repair or an indication that speed frisbee is no longer your game. As you age your physical activities also need to change.

Chronic Conditions

A chronic condition requires you to observe what and how you are being affected. And then go explore solutions. Natural solutions are best as the side effects of drugs in the long term can be devastating. There are wealth of natural hands-on and energy approaches to choose from which can aid you in your journey back to health. You may also need psychological counseling. My favorite is SomatoEmotional Release work, dialoging with your body which I combine with Somatic Education, Visualization and CranioSacral Therapy.

I know about chronic illness because I had such an illness. Luckily the doctors forgot to tell me it was incurable, so I got well. It took me the better part of two and half years of healing sessions nearly every day. I also changed my diet and did emotional work in various disciplines including Gestalt, Psychosynthesis, and Jungian Psychology.

What Else…?

What kind of Body and energy work did I do? I have to say I trained in the ones that worked best for me, light touch, hands-on, and energy work. This included Somatic Education, Feldenkrais and Body-Mind Centering as well as CranioSacral Therapy and even Reiki, natural healing. These trainings went on for years. Knowing yourself is a process. I kept going deeper.

Now I assist Dr. Ken Koles on  Zoom in his international Frequencies & Vibrations course which is all about Chinese Acupuncture Principles and your personal energy/Chi. I call this vibrational Acupuncture which can be done along with my other modalities over Zoom or if you live in Montreal you can visit in person or have a distant healing session with me from wherever you live.

Just a Flu, Strep throat etc.

Flu and Strep throat mean bed rest and fluids and a possible a trip to the doctor for antibiotics. If you are susceptible, you may want to take supplements to strengthen your immune system to avoid these episodes. If it is a medical emergency, you already know what to do. Call 911.

My Mother said…

My mother would always say “Have a cup of tea, dear and go to bed.” This is always a good idea….and slows you down….while you find out what to do or be with next.
